Their professionalism, expertise and support made a much easier and less stressful process after it was highlighted through an external audit that our engineering building breached several fire safety issues which raised concerns, therefore these breaches were raised as non-conformances.

We contacted Goldstones who came to site to explain firstly how they could help.

Being accredited fire stop surveyors and installers the process was to carry out a full site survey, document their findings with photographic evidence. Then carry out the fire stop recommendations whether it be 30/60/90/120 mins requirement, complete with installation photo.

The QR label system they apply after the repair identifies what fire rating protection has been installed, material spec and date it was completed. This can then be cross referenced with the report which we now hold on our shared drive with Facilities and the H&S Department.

This has been very useful when the auditing team came back, as all we had to do was revisit a couple of examples of the breaches to prove what had been done. The rest could be viewed on the shared drive document.

The standard of finish and attention to detail was second to none.
